On the evening of December 11, a container ship ran aground at Keelung Port in Taiwan. The vessel deviated from its route to avoid other ships and ran aground in front of the lighthouse. The Keelung Port Traffic Control Center dispatched tugboats for assistance, and at 3:21 AM, it was confirmed that the ship was aground, with damage to the forward tank causing water ingress. The vessel was freed at 3:40 AM and safely docked at Berth 19 West. The vessel is part of the THE Alliance's direct PS4 service to the U.S. West Coast, involving multiple shipping companies. It had recently called at ports in Xiamen, Yantian in Shenzhen, and Kaohsiung, and subsequent sailing schedules may be delayed.
