Recently, a large shipping company announced that the original CP3 route has been upgraded and officially renamed JP8 route, and its service territory has expanded to the Japanese market.
It is reported that this route is specially designed for the transportation of dry and refrigerated goods between the Philippines and Japan. It will become the first direct route from the Kanto region of Japan to the local ports of the Philippines, bringing new development opportunities for regional trade.
In addition, the route has added four new ports of call, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe and Moji, opening up a wider freight route for importers and exporters. The upgraded "JP8" route is scheduled to start its maiden voyage from Davao, Philippines on September 21.
The new port call order is:
Tokyo-Yokohama-Kobe-Moji-Shekou-Nansha-Subic Bay-Batangas-Cebu-Davao-Tokyo.
