Starting December 1, 2024, China will implement a zero-tariff policy for 100% of the tariff lines of products originating from all the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) with which it has established diplomatic relations, totaling 43 countries, including 33 African nations. This initiative aims to expand market access for LDCs and foster mutual development. Before this, China had already applied a zero-tariff treatment to 98% of the tariff lines of products from 27 African LDCs. This measure is expected to enhance China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and achieve a win-win situation.
